  • Glass Casting Billet weight – 5.3 lbs.
  • Glass Casting Billet Melting Temperature – 820° – 860° C (1508° – 1580° F)
  • Glass Casting Billet Annealing point – 475° C (887° F)
  • Coefficient of Expansion – 100
  • Density is 2.55 kg/l
  • Compatible for mixing colors up to 11 lbs. without a problem. For larger castings a stress test is recommended prior to the initial cast.
  • Billets Color Code  - A three-digit code identifying the color.
  • Each billet is identified with a batch number (beginning with the letter “T” followed by a number and its block number).
  • The billets are packed in a box weighing approximately 60 lbs.
  • Uranium Glass Billets – begins with the 800 series of colors. Responds to ultraviolet light. They contain 1% Uranium – not considered radioactive, by the United States Government.
  • Striking glass colors billets change appearance after firing. The photos are corresponding to the fired color. The striking colors are: 601, 602, 603, 604, 607, 610, 813, 814 and 817.
  • If there is impurity in the glass the blocks are marked by a black marker. Please break the block and remove the impurity.
